End of Summer Countdown- Top 3 Highlights of a Teacher's EPIC summer!

Epic! We started out in March saying we wanted to have the best summer ever. My partner Kendra and I always make advanced plans knowing we will have more time for TpT and fun with the bestie! Somehow I just knew it would turn out to be better than we expected. So we are giving you our Top 3 Highlights of this EPIC summer for 2 Wise Owls!I will be heading back to my class this week to prepare for the start of school within the next two weeks! #1- Our Birthdays We share birthdays each year since we are 4 days apart. I'm June 29th and Kendra is July 3rd. This summer we decided since I was turning 33 we needed to have an EPIC birthday bash. Instead we opted for Hibachi dinner with our families. We sit down to the table and to our surprise, Kendra's daughter brings a small box over to her. She pulls out two notes. One with Kendra's name and one with mine (Chasity). As we opened them we both looked at each other and began to shout in the middle of Hibachi! We had just been given tickets to the July 20th Jay-Z and Beyonce #Ontherun tour! I started to tear up because I am known as the emotional Cancerian! Kendra was in shock and kept smiling from ear to ear!Great gifts if I do say so myself! #2- Vegas Here We Come Within days of celebrating my birthday at Hibachi grill, we get an even greater gift. Tickets and confirmation that we (the2wiseowls) were going to Vegas for the first ever Supercharge Seller's Success conference. We went into overdrive with planning, prepping, making business cards, getting T-shirts and bags made as SWAG, and packing for a weekend getaway. However, we never realized that what we were headed to would be life changing for us! #TpTvegas2014 was more than we ever imagined. 740 premium sellers all dying to meet the Top Sellers and learn from the best of the best! We met so many people and put faces to names! We heard motivation that saves nations! LOL! But most importantly what we took away was a sense of urgency and great determination to find our place in this world of creative educators reaching their fullest potential each day on TpT. This trip ended with me leaving Vegas' airport, but before I boarded the plane I bought a Coke! When I turned it around it read... "Share a Coke with Paul" we just looked at each other and knew this was confirmation that we were moving in the right direction! Paul even favorited my Tweet with the picture! #3- New Orleans Bound So we are from Louisiana, and New Orleans is the go to spot to enjoy fabulous food and a Vegas style nightlife to boot! We took out with our families to enjoy the weekend and see Beyonce and Jay-Z in concert! The city was packed, the people were buzzing, and the hotels were cha chinging! When we finally made it through the traffic we only had a few minutes to change and head out to the Mercedes Benz Superdome. We were so excited and sang songs all the way to our seats, but when we heard that first song and Jay-Z hit the stage we knew it was about to be the bomb.com! We danced to old and new songs and ate chicken tenders! LOL! Yes, we got hungry! When it was all said and done our hairstyles were flat and hair all over our heads, our makeup was smudged, our feet were swollen, and we had to walk about 6 blocks back to our hotel. (No cabs-go figure!)It wasn't even a question about whether or not it was all worth it. It was more than worth it! We came, we saw, we conquered! As we head back into the classroom in a few weeks, I can't help but to keep this summer's memories in the forefront of my mind! It has been EPIC! Just the fuel we needed to recharge and dig in!
